Fuck The Facts/fourOnine/xuriiux/2001 Ep Review

Fuck  The  Facts  are  a  band  from  Canada  that  has  had  a  few  of  their  albums  reviewed  in  this  zine  with  a  style  that  crosses  noisecore,  power  violence,  grindcore  and  crustcore  together  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2001  ep  "fourOnine"  which  was  released  by  Xuriiux.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  tone  with  riffs  that  dominate  throughout  the  recording  and  at  times  they  sound  very  powerful.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  gindcore,  noise  and  crust  punk together  and  there  are  little  to  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  deep death  metal  growls,  high  pitched  grindcore/noise  screams,  spoken  word  parts  and  a  great  number  of  samples,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent  and  hateful  themes,  as  for t he  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  recording  from  Fuck  The  Fucks  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  noise/crust/grind,  you  should  check  it  out.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Whisper  Dependancy"  and  "409".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
